Yes we have heard a ton of rumors about upcoming Apple products, delayed iPhone 5, LTE iPhone, iPod touch 5G and even the iPad 3. This is common throughout the year with peaks just before key ‘dates’ that Apple generally prefers to launch new products. Given that the iPhone refresh didn’t happen in June @ WWDC 2011, we are experiencing an overload of iPhone rumors. Analyst predictions, contradicting words, speculations by every TDH and frustration from users holding off to buy a new iPhone.
Ever since the iPhone 4 leaked out last year, and turned out to be real, peoples confidence in Apple leaks have got a shot in the arm. Specially when the one leaking it is Gizmodo. Given Gizmodo’s Rakhi Sawant nature, anything that comes out of from them now gets attention. So this time around Gizmodo has a few images of an iPhone, that they claim is the iPhone 5 (or 4S or whatever it is called).
The claim is that ‘this isn’t the iPhone 5’ but a clone. Well we know that this isn’t the iPhone 5 the moment we look at the earpiece grill & the front camera and the large borders between the display and home button (as well as on the top.) So part two of the story, this is a replica created by a Shenzen factory based on the leaked details from Apple’s actual iPhone 5 production. The design looks 7mm thin with some curves and Gizmodo also calls it a curved glass. Fails to look legit to us.
